Why should I get Laser Hair Removal?
The Harmony machine, using Intense Pulsed Light, has been FDA approved for permanent hair reduction which is recognized as 85% or more hair loss. It is possible that only the light, fine hairs would remain.
How does it work?
It targets the pigment located in the follicle and hair shaft. The light is absorbed by the pigment and this energy is converted to heat which results in damage to the hair follicle.
Is it the same as electrolysis?
No. Unlike electrolysis, which disables one hair follicle at a time, the laser reaches and treats hundreds of follicles at a time.
Does it work on everyone?
Laser Hair Removal can only target hair with melanin, which means it cannot see blonde or grey hair. It also means the hair needs to be darker than the skin so that the pulse doesn't stay on the surface. In your consultation, we can let you know if the process is for you.
How do I prepare for my consult/treatment?
For 2-3 wks before, no tanning/tanning beds or waxing/plucking. This could easily alter the optimal results.
The day before, shave the area that we will be concentrating on.
How many sessions will I need?
The average amount is 6 sessions, however it is not uncommon to need 7 or more treatments. These are spaced approx. 6 wks apart. We will give you more accurate numbers once we can assess your skin tone and hair.

What is a Photofacial?
It uses Intense Pulsed Light to treat the skin and eliminate signs of aging. It is most commonly used to reduce age spots, acne, freckles, broken capillaries, uneven skin tone and signs of rosacea.
You are able to see dramatic results without any downtime.
What else do I need to know?
For optimal results, no tanning for 2-3 wks prior to treatment.
The average amount is 2-4 sessions, however you may be happy with the results after just 1 session.
